Comment Policy

I wanted to take a few minutes to dicuss the ins and outs on leaving comments on The Practice of Leadership to ensure that we are all on the same page.
I am aware that different blogs and websites take a variety of approaches in dealing effectively with comments, therefore I want to communicate to readers where I stand concerning comments, as follows:
- I love to get comments on this blog: comments are important to me. They enrich the blog, provide interesting insights, add to my knowledge and provide a richer experience for everyone. Comments are essential to building community on this blog, therefore feel free to comment, have your say.
- I will delete spam: This blog does have the necessary spam filters in place to automatically catch as much spam as is possible. Those that slip through I will be deleting.
- Feel free to include relevant links: If you feel that providing a link to relevant content on your own or another site, feel free to do so. This help all of us learn and it enriches our conversation. This implies that irrelevant links are not encouraged. If you leave a comment with a link that has no relevance to the post or your comment it could be deleted.
- Email Privacy: Email addresses are required for commenting, and they are not published on the blog and will not be shared with any third party. However, they may be used by the blog owner to privately contact the commenter.
- Language and Manners: This blog is “family friendly” and comments which include offensive or inappropriate language, or considered by me to be rude and offensive, will be edited or deleted.
- A Comment is Conversation: A comment which does not add to the conversation, is inappropriate, or kills the conversation may be edited, moved, or deleted.
- All Rights Reserved: I reserve the right to edit, delete, move, or mark as spam any and all comments.
- Hold Harmless: All comments within this blog are the responsibility of the commenter, not the blog owner or author. By submitting a comment on this blog, you agree that the comment content is your own, and to hold this site, The Practice of Leadership, and all subsidiaries and representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability.
- Trackbacks Are Comments: All trackbacks will be treated inline with this Comments Policy.
I trust this helps to clarify things.
Enjoy the blog and help build our leadership conversation.
