Howard Gardner defines Leadership

Howard Gardner describes leadership as:

"… persons who, by word and/or personal example, markedly influence the behaviors, thoughts and feelings of a significant number of their fellow human beings."

Behaviour is critical to the practice of leadership. Talk is cheap. It’s great to define leadership values and principles. After all is said and done, it’s what’s done that counts! Leadership is displayed by the example we set. Leadership theory, models and frameworks don’t matter, unless they result in a change of behaviour.
